New San Ramon City Hall First Step of City Center Project

newcityhallSan Ramon recently announced plans to design and construct a new City Hall facility as the first phase of the long-awaited City Center project.

Though the City Center project has been approved since 2008, the severe economic downturn has constantly put the project on hold. “This is great news for the City of San Ramon.  We have an opportunity to see a first phase start to the City Center Project that results in the construction of a new City Hall which we can afford and does not require any debt financing,” said Mayor Bill Clarkson.

Those of us that live in San Ramon absolutely love the area and the only thing that has been missing is a “downtown” to hang out in or stroll around.  Rest assured, it will still be many years before the complete project is finished, but we’re grateful that something is starting.

The City is also making a long overdue updating and expansion of the San Ramon Library that will bring it current with the most recent that have been built.  Do you have any questions or need any other information on San Ramon or any of the surrounding communities?  I’ve lived in this area for 25 years, know it inside and out, and I can help you!  Please feel free to reach out to me to learn more…
