Memorial Day BBQ Ultimate Burgers & Dogs Ready to get your BBQ on for the long Memorial Day weekend?  I know we are!  And there is nothing our family loves more than burgers and dogs.  Greg’s personal favorite is the Burger dog – a cheeseburger with a hot dog sliced on top.   He’s alone with that one but it’s time to mix it up this year!

Burgers n has a great section on their website called Summer Central.  There’s a tab for Burgers and Hot Dogs that has more ideas and recipes than you can shake a hot dog at. Bacon wrapped burgers?  Check.  Buffalo sauce burger stuffed with blue cheese?  Check. Mac N Cheese dogs? Check.  Firecracker Footlongs?  Check. Chances are you’ll find something the family will like.

Finally, lets not forget that Memorial Day, an American holiday observed on the last Monday of May, honors men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. Unofficially, at least, it marks the beginning of summer.

Have a great holiday weekend, honor our fallen heroes, have some great food with the family and friends, and get ready for a long, hot summer!
