We love eating local! But we hear all the time that there isn’t anywhere good to eat in San Ramon…
While we may not have that famous “destination” restaurant, we have many casual places that serve great food at a good value. Here are three of our favorites for you to try out…
Mexxi’s – 9110 Alcosta Blvd. in the Country Club Village Center
Mexxi’s is probably our family favorite for getting a great bite to eat spur of the moment. Great chips and salsa bar and homemade Southern Mexico cooking. The Al Pastor Super Burrito and Veggie Tacos are two of our favorites. And they have a simple and easy catering program that means we get to have it at a lot of our local friend’s parties as well!
Rolls Deli Cafe – 3211 Crow Canyon Place around the side of the Crow Canyon Commons Shopping Center
Rolls is our favorite sandwich shop. As you can guess by their name, their claim to fame are the fresh baked rolls they serve their sandwiches on. There are a half dozen varieties and they’re the best. A foot long sandwich comes with a small container of salad and we always end up saving a half for later – a twofer!
Fat Maddie’s Grille – 2005 Crow Canyon Place in the Magnolia Square Shopping Center
This is just a fun, funky place that reminds us of the diner/grills in downtown Chicago. Sandwiches, Burgers and Salads along with lots of Specials are all made fresh with great ingredients. The tables outside are the place to eat if not too hot. The Santa Fe Pesto Chicken Sandwich and the Cali Burger with great fries will please just about anyone!
Well there you have it – three of our local favorites. Let us know your favorite San Ramon eateries and we’ll include them in the local guide we’re putting together for new to the area residents!
